Architectural Detail Architectural DetailImages refers to capturing the design and construction of buildings and other physical structures created by humans for shelter, work, worship, or recreation. This involves highlighting the specifics and unique characteristics of buildings and structures inside or outside. Entries may focus on individual elements, such as doors and windows, or broader architectural compositions. For this assigned subject, images should only include man-made structures. Do not include structures made by animals, such as beaver dams, nests, or ant hills.

Nighttime Nighttime photography involves capturing images in low-light conditions, utilizing ambient sources such as moonlight, starlight, and city lights to illuminate subjects and scenes. This genre encompasses the period between sunset and sunrise, not images of sunsets or sunrises. Furthermore, images of solar eclipses are excluded from this category as they are taken during the daytime. Techniques involving light painting, flash, and reliance on natural sunlight are prohibited for this assignment.

Motion Photography
Motion photography is a technique that captures dynamic movement, action, and speed in images. It either involves freezing moments sharply or intentionally blurring elements to convey a vivid sense of motion. Several different techniques can be used to capture motion in photography. These include controlling the shutter speed, using long exposure, panning, moving the camera to create motion blur, using burst mode, or utilizing flash to illuminate and freeze the motion. By employing these techniques, it is possible to create images that convey a sense of movement and energy.
Still-Life Photography
Still-life photography is a genre that involves capturing non-living objects (more than one) arranged purposefully in a controlled environment. This type of photography emphasizes composition, lighting, and attention to detail to create a specific mood, narrative, or aesthetic appeal. Objects that can be used in still-life photography include but are not limited to fruits, vegetables, flowers, household items, antiques, books, art supplies, decorative items, textiles, and personal items. Images should be original setups, not scenes in museums, historical houses, etc. It's important to note that living things such as animals, humans, and insects should not be included in still-life photography.
